Preview: I Waited 13 Years to Play The Wolf Among Us 2, But I Have One Concern

The temp asset among us.I’ve been waiting for The Wolf Among Us 2 for an age. When I played the original, I was about 17-years-old, and my mates and I used to squeeze into my tiny bedroom to play the game on Xbox 360. So it was an odd sensation squeezing into a tiny booth at Gamescom to check out the sequel 13 years later.Read the full article on pushsquare.com

Sonic Team head talks possibility of Sonic Mania 2

There’s no sign of Sonic Mania 2 happening anytime soon, but Sonic Team head Takazhi Iizuka has left the door open to the possibility. Believe it or not, Sonic Mania is coming close to its tenth anniversary. The title launched in 2017 and many fans had hoped that we’d get a sequel. Sonic Mania was definitely a success for SEGA,... Usual June mixes Hades-esque action, crystal crabs and ghosts to make for a game that'll do well in your Halloween rotation

I've been hungry for an action adventure game recently. In this modern era of live service and infinite roguelikes and deckbuilders (seriously, I know they're popular genres, maybe try a different highly replayable genre), the humble action adventure game has fallen by the wayside a tad. So I've been quite curious about Usual June, a quite classic one of those that might end up being a Halloween regular (quick disclaimer: Cara Ellison, who many moons ago did some writing for RPS, is a writer o

I'm Obsessed with GTA 6's Next-Gen Wanted System

Here's what all the icons mean.I may be about to say something blasphemous, but one of my least favourite things about previous GTA games is escaping the cops.I know, it’s basically the entire point of the game, but I’ve just never found it fun. Once pursued, you basically just drive your car as fast as you can, and try to avoid any police that spawn in your general vicinity.Read the full article on pushsquare.com

The Long Dark sequel Blackfrost hasn't been cancelled, but developer Hinterland are shifting a bit more focus onto the original's survival mode

Things are shifting around a bit over at The Long Dark developer Hinterland Studio. Earlier this year, The Long Dark's story mode wrapped up with the release of Wintermute's fifth and final episode. After that, you may have fairly assumed that focus would have been mostly placed on the sequel that was announced in 2024, Blackfrost. But according to Hinterland, while Blackfrost is still in the works, the main focus will actually be put on The Long Dark's survival mode for a while. Read more

We have a first look at the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Crew Motorfest, along with a comparison to the PC version which shows that Ubisoft looks to be coming out with a pretty respectable port. Mortal Shell 2 gets its first major update, adding in extra beacons, useful new items, and making riposte damage scaling actually work

We're a little over one week on from the launch of Mortal Shell 2, a game that Jeremy liked quite a lot. But the work of a developer is never done these days, what with the advent of the internet and patches 'n' all. A balance patch arrived on launch day, but the Soulslike has now received its first full update, bringing a whole lot with it. Read more

'This Looks Like Dogsh*t': Disturbing DLSS 5 AI Filter Applied to Major PS5 Games After Leaking

AI don't really like it.Nvidia’s controversial new DLSS 5 filter, which caused a bit of a hullabaloo earlier this year, has leaked online – and instantly been implemented into pretty much every major PS5 game on the market. While previous iterations of Nvidia’s upscaling technology have broadly been praised – using reconstruction techniques to reduce computational load without impacting image quality – this version appears to use generative AI to alter artistic intent.Read the full article on pus

Star Citizen spinoff Squadron 42 has been delayed yet again, citing everyone going gaga for GTA 6, even if it isn't coming to PC yet

There is a big part of me that doesn't really believe any aspect of Star Citizen is real. It's never really a game I've given all that much of my attention to, the thing gives off pyramid scheme energy in a way I can't quite explain. Probably something to do with the numerous promises developer Cloud Imperium Games have made over the years that haven't always come to fruition in the way they said, or when they said, they would. And here's yet another example of that: Squadron 42, the story-bas
